Heyyy lollies! So, as this blog is a bridge between my 'YouTubing world' and my 'Normal world', I thought I'd share about a little adventure I had on Monday, 7th April. And yes, I also promised a glimpse into xCastleRuneX's personal life, so voila.
As some of you might know, I'm currently in Singapore at the moment. My new school year starts on the 21st April (real soon) and I'm quite excited for it. It's my dream school too but I'm not here to talk about schools just yet!
So on Monday, my boyfriend, Nathaniel and I decided to up and go to Sentosa's Adventure Cove aquatic water park. Sentosa is a little island off the coast of Singapore, easily accessible and a very famous tourist attraction. Universal Studios Singapore is located on this island too. I've been some time back. With my brother, my boyfriend and his mate. This time, we went to Adventure Cove, just the two of us. I was pretty excited because it was my first time and I was dying to try as many rides as possible!
It wasn't very crowded, thank goodness. It wasn't a holiday so most students were stuck in school. Many of my mates have already started school in Junior College. (I'm going to a Polytechnic but more on that next time!). The school year for JC starts way earlier than Poly. Poly students got to enjoy a 6 month holiday! No lie!
The heat was horrendous. As it always is. If we're lucky, we get a spot of rain. I was dying to jump into the cool water and get away from the blasted heat. First thing we did was to take a relaxing ride on the Adventure River. Long story short, we spent our first half hour lazily floating down a river. I can never seem to make the tube move in the direction I want to move in. Many a time, I ended up stuck or moving backwards and my poor exasperated boyfriend had to come rescue me x'D.
I loved it though, It was relaxing. Its beautiful to let your thoughts just float away. No worries. No stress. No troubles. Hahahaha, now I want a relaxing river in my house! :)
After the river ride, we joined the queue for Adventure Cove's main attraction, the Riptide Rocket. Double R is Southeast Asia's first hydro-magnetic coaster and hell was it worth it! We waited quite a while for this ride. I was shaking from the cold and the anticipation. The bloodcurling screams did absolutely nothing to quell my anxiety. I love coasters and water slides, I really do. But separately. Please. I was a nervous wreck by the time it was our turn. I could tell Nathaniel was trying not to laugh. When we were on the travelator, I wanted out. I wanted to climb off the blasted thing and run.
The ride though? COMPLETELY worth the wait. It was scary. It was terrifying. It was utterly heart-stopping. And I wanted to go again. ;) The plunges were insane, the twist and turns were terrifying and the one second mid air suspensions? Totes awesome!
On to our next mini adventure! Snorkeling! Its not the real thing obv but it WAS pretty cool. And my first time, so obv I was fascinated. It was beautiful seeing all the fishes swimming under you. The breathing-through-mouth bit took a while getting used to but once I saw the fishes, I was so enthralled, the snorkeling bit came naturally. I really want to visit the Great Barrier Reef one day<3
On to munchies. We took a break for lunch and to rest and relax on their little man made 'beach'. The dolphins were right beside the 'beach' but unfor, you have to pay an extra fee to swim with them. Pity. I would have liked to but I expect the price would have been bloody expensive.
I reckon we slacked off for about an hour or so. We went another round on the adventure river before psyching ourselves up for the other rides. We managed to take most of the rides, except the dueling racer one. :( There was a lightning risk and they had to suspend all the rides. Absolute bummer but I think we both knew who was gonna win the race anyway! Me! ;) hahahaha kiddingggg.
Our date ended back at the mainland. We had dinner at my favorite restaurant, Swiss Restaurant, Marche at Vivo city. Walked around for a bit and shared some ice cream (that was a really sweet moment ^.^)
I had a ton of fun at Adventure Cove. Can't wait to go again! :D
A hui hou! (Goodbye, until we meet again in Hawaiian)
Ta lollies!
Lots of Love,
RuniexBeth :)
